The 'Black Diamond' of Truffles are here!
Imported FRESH from Europe, these rare black beauties are sure to add that incredible Truffle flavor and aroma to your creations. A lot of hard work and meticulous tracking by specially trained truffle hunting dogs goes into finding each and every piece. Just imagine, what you are about to consume was almost 2 feet underground nesting near an oak tree or a hazelnut tree in Europe just a little while ago!
They are in season from December to March.
How to preserve: These Black Truffles are at their best if consumed within 7 days of receiving them. They can be preserved for up to 10 days in a refrigerator (35F to 41F) in a plastic / glass container wrapped in a dry tissue paper (to be changed every day). Alternatively, you can even put them in a jar of rice or with fresh eggs to add truffle flavor to rice & eggs naturally.
How to use: Shave it / Grate It / Slice it on your creations to add the heavenly earthy, nutty aroma & flavor. Any leftover pieces can be added to butter, mayo, oil to make your own truffle condiment.
How much do you need: Our standard size truffle piece is larger than most other sellers in the marketplace, as we select only the most well developed truffles to sell as fresh. Each of our piece is between 1 oz to 2 oz - good for 3 to 4 portions of an entree dish.
